Low-Cost

Hy9 uses a planar technology (foil) that uses several-fold less palladium compared to conventionally-used palladium/silver tubular purifiers. As a result, the amount of palladium used in our membrane purifiers/reformers is far less expensive when compared to conventional products and, depending upon the system requirements, can represent <1% to 10% of the total unit cost.

Efficient

Hy9’s products improve hydrogen productivity per unit of palladium by a factor of 50x vs. conventional palladium membranes

Scalable

Hy9’s products are scalable and can be economically integrated into much lower capital required applications, when compared to expensive conventionally-used palladium/silver tubular purifiers that are mostly restricted to the upper end market.

High Purity

With regards to desiccant cartridges for electrolyzers and other applications, Hy9’s membrane purifiers provide higher levels of at least 99.9999+% purification and remove the hassles of drying, changing and disposing of these units.
