Onsite Industrial Hydrogen Reformers -

Hy9’s HyMaker™ provides the core component of a single stage reforming/purification application that will be integrated with a balance of plant by various industrial gas companies, OEM’s and industrial users of hydrogen. Hy9 is presently in strategic discussions with these companies to finalize the development of these HyMakers. These HyMakers provide compelling economic, efficient and reliable solutions within the 500scfh – 20,000scfh range for base, supplemental or back-up generation.

Water Gas Shift Reactors -

Durable, ultra-high productivity, low-cost hydrogen membranes for water-gas shift (WGS) membrane reactors have been identifierd by the DOE as critical for low cost hydrogen produced from coal and other fuels.

Hy9 has developed and commercialized a water gas shift membrane reactor in the beginning of 1998, similar in many ways to the steam methane reforming membrane reactor just described. The shift reactor contains a different catalyst than the steam reformer, but otherwise it utilizes the same core technologies of diffusion bonding and thin membranes. Hy9 is presently working with its partners to develop a WGS to meet the DOE’s requirements for a WGS reactor for coal gasification applications.

Additional reformer products are under development and are to be commercialized with strategic partners when the technologies are thoroughly proven and/or market conditions warrant a sustainable business.
